{"id":10602,"date":"2017-11-14T08:17:37","date_gmt":"2017-11-14T08:17:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stagingweb.heliospv.net\/?p=10602"},"modified":"2026-02-20T08:18:32","modified_gmt":"2026-02-20T08:18:32","slug":"solar-power-projects-handed-over-to-longhouses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.heliospv.net\/my\/solar-power-projects-handed-over-to-longhouses\/","title":{"rendered":"Solar power projects handed over to longhouses"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\"><strong>Five Sungai Pelagus longhouses, Rumah Majo,&nbsp; Rumah Jak, Rumah Sekudan, Rumah George, and Rumah Anatu received ownership of their Sarawak Alternative Rural Electrification Scheme (SARES) solar systems.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"484\" height=\"335\" src=\"http:\/\/stagingweb.heliospv.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/sares.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10603\" style=\"width:840px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.heliospv.net\/my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/sares.png 484w, https:\/\/www.heliospv.net\/my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/sares-300x208.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 484px) 100vw, 484px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>KAPIT: Five Sungai Pelagus longhouses received ownership of their Sarawak Alternative Rural Electrification Scheme (Sares) solar systems on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi handed over the projects to Rumah Majo, Ulu Iran; Rumah Jak, Nanga Stabau: Rumah Sekudan, Rantau Lelenga; Rumah George, Nanga Sebunut; and Rumah Anatu, Karangan Ara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nanta explained the projects come under the National Blue Ocean Strategy (NBOS) as a strategic partnership of equal financing between the state government and the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that it is used for remote clusters of villages and longhouses that cannot be connected to the power grid at present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Sares system provides 24-hour electricity supply, enabling the households to use electrical appliances such as fans and refrigerators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis is crucial to me.
