1. Performance Monitoring
It can be difficult to figure out if your solar systems are operating at their best without a monitoring system.
That is why information about your systems’ energy performance is essential. With real-time remote monitoring of a solar system, not only you could know about your energy generation, it also helps to discover if there is any unusual shortfall in the performance.
This helps to identify which necessary maintenance action shall be taken immediately. Early detection of a problem with a prompt action could help to minimize the performance lost.
2. Preventative Maintenance
In a way, All future breakdowns, failures and errors are anticipated by the O&M services. A routine inspection and maintenance is done so that it could reduce the possibility of system breakdown.
It is a good practice to keep a check on all the individual parts of solar panels in Malaysia, including the cables, remote monitoring device, inverters, combiner boxes, photovoltaic (PV) panels, etc. Routine cleaning on the PV panels too is preventative maintenance to keep the system at their tip-top performance.
3. Corrective Maintenance
Corrective maintenance is important as it addresses breakdowns and equipment repairs. It involves reporting, diagnosing events, troubleshooting and providing repair or replacement to restore the system to fully operational status.
In some cases that involves Defect Liability Period (DLP), backup parts will be required for an immediate replacement to make sure the system is continuing to operate as normal in the event of equipment is sending back to the vendor for warranty claim.
